A 22-year-old student of Kulasekaram Mookambika Medical college in Kanyakumari was found dead on Wednesday night. He is reported to have hanged himself with a shawl in his hostel room, but investigations are on.
Parathichemmal, the deceased youth, hails from Tiruchy district in Tamil Nadu. Sources told The News Minute that the parents are not ready to believe that their son committed suicide. Parents say that a shawl being found in his room raises suspicion. Balakrishnan, the father of the youth, has asked for a postmortem with three doctors and for the autopsy to be videographed.
Allegations are also being raised against the college for creating administrative hurdles for the student.
