 Addressing thousands of people at a massive rally organised in Madurai, DMK treasure MK Stalin began the first of his public campaigns taking on the ruling AIADMK government. The rally tittled ‘Makkal Oorani, Kelvi Ketkum Perani’ ( A rally for questions), Stalin accused the AAIDMK head on questioning its development plan in the last four years of its rule in the state, reported The Hindu.Bringing up mega development projects like the Sethusamudram Ship Channel and the Madurai-Tuticoirn industrial corridor which was yet to see the light of day, he said Jayalalithaa was the only CM to stall such projects, said the report.He also brought up a list of other issues mostly in rhetoric and questions when he spoke about the Global investor’s meet,  and the state of different parks including the Semmozhi and Tholkappiam.He also accused the ruling AIADMK government of targeting the Opposition parties taking example of Vijayakanth and EVKS Elangovan. Following the arrest of Agriculture Minister, investigation into the death of engineer Muthukumarasamy has been put on the back-burner, he said.  Leaving aside the hotly debated topic of Jayalalithaa’s conviction, bail and acquittal in a disproportionate assets, he however took on the TANSI land deal case, reported Times of India. "I see the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu in this huge crowd, and am sure that they are ready to perform the sacred task of sending the AIADMK government home," he said. Attended by thousands of supporters, it was one of the biggest show in strength for the DMK led by MK Stalin in the absence of party leader M Karunanidhi.(Image courtesy: MK Stalin Facebook page)
