A fire broke out in a cracker factory in Sokkalingapuram, Sivakasi at around 11 am on Thursday morning. No casualties have been reported.
Out of the 42 buildings in the area, three buildings have been completely damaged, according to a TV report.
There were 46 staff inside the buildings who were working at the time of the incident and all of them ran out.
The reason for the fire is not yet known.
