The 2012 Sheena Bora murder case has taken a new turn with a key accused turned prosecution witness claiming that Indrani Mukejea informed her husband and fellow suspect, Peter Mukerjea where to dump Sheena Bora’s body.
A day prior to the murder, Indrani called up Peter and told him the exact place where Sheena’s body needs to be disposed of, Indrani’s former driver Shyamvar Rai has said, according to a report by Rebecca Samervel in The Times of India.
The third charge sheet was submitted by CBI before special judge H S Mahajan on Friday and it includes a two-page statement, which was submitted in April this year by the former driver.
On April 23, 2012, a recce was conducted on the PenKhopoli Road, the driver has said as per the statement.
“...Madam ne do baar jahan tak mujhe yaad hai Peter sahib se phone par baath kar ke boli thi ki “good place“ Mek hail aaivam Sheena ka naam lekar an grezi mein bol rahi thi,“ the statement reads.
The CBI had said in an earlier charge sheet filed in February that, “constant communication between both accused (Peter and Indrani) completes chain of conspiracy and participation of Peter.”
Peter has claimed his innocence all along saying that he was unaware of the plot to kill Sheena. However, this latest statement could put Peter in the dock.
