PMK Chief Ramadoss extended support towards DMK Chief Karunanidhi over Vaiko’s unsavoury comments.

In a statement he said: “Politicians are not beyond criticism. However, any criticism must conform to public decorum. Mr. Vaiko could have expressed his views in a refined manner, but his comments revealed his severe bias against Mr. Karunanidhi,” he said.

He further stated, “While he has apologised to Mr. Karunanidhi for his comments, apology won’t heal the wounds inflicted by Vaiko.”

He hoped that DMK chief would put this incident behind him and continue his public life.

Reacting to the controversy surrounding expelled DMDK strongman Chandrakumar and 9 other dissidents, MDMK leader Vaiko suggested indirectly that they should all consider "that business", hinting at prostitution.

Though he covered his tracks by stating he might mean any business, the reference was not lost on anybody.

Referring to the statement by these dissidents that the DMDK should align with DMK rather than the PWF, he alleged that they had received a bribe from the DMK and suggested that “Kalaignar” Karunanidhi take up the 'oldest profession' in the world as well, the profession which is says is 'famous world over' and 'many are asking to be legalized'.

On Wednesday evening, however, he apologised for his remarks about Karunanidhi and requested the DMK leader to forgive him.
