The News Minute | January 24, 2015 | 09.20 am ISTAn ad for the sale of a boy in Chennai at the cost of Rs. 5 has been posted on popular classified ads website Quikr .The ad which was posted in mid-December which had the photo of a child with the caption Rahul for Sales having a price tag of Rs. 5 on it was posted by a man from Triplicane, reported New Indian Express. The ad which was shared on social media however soon reached the Tamil Nadu Child Rights Observatory which immediately made a complaint to the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights. A notice has been sent to Quikr since the ad is a violation of the Child Protection Act. While it was said to be a hoax , police may be called into take further action, said the report. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
