Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's upcoming film joins Sankranthi release race

The yet to be titled film is a remake of the Malayalam film 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum'.

Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film is all set to hit the silver screens and join the Sankranthi release league, as the makers have officially announced the release date as January 12, 2022. The multistarrer project, which is yet to be titled, is being directed by Saagar K Chandra and produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner. Meanwhile, ace director Trivikram Srinivas has penned screenplay and dialogues of the film.

The movie team has also announced that the musical promotions are also set to begin soon with the release of a first single from the movie. The music for the movie is being composed by SS Thaman.

An announcement video released by Sithara Entertainments shows Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram Srinivas and Saagar K Chandra with composer SS Thaman. 

In the action drama, which is a remake of Malayalam hit movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Pawan Kalyan will be seen as Bheemla Nayak, a cop, reprising Biju Menon's role and Rana Daggubati will be seen in the role played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. It has also been announced that Nitya Menen is on board for the movie. Other details about the cast are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has his yet to be titled 28th film, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu in the pipeline. Rana Daggubati is also waiting for the release of his Virata Parvam with Sai Pallavi and Priyamani.   

Other movies such as the Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh starrer Sarkaaru Vaari Paata, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s Radhe Shyam have also officially announced their release dates for the Sankranthi season. The movies are going to hit the theatres on January 13 and 14 respectively.
