DMK treasurer M K Stalin on Sunday said that their party will not be forming a coalition government after the Assembly elections.
During a press conference organized by Dravidar Kazhagam in Tiruchy, MK Stalin said that if DMK comes back to power “there is no possibility” for the alliance parties to be part of the Cabinet.
He stated that the people of Tamil Nadu have never accepted the idea of a coalition government and DMK will be able to form a government after the elections, according to The New Indian Express.
Talking about the alliances with parties for elections, he said that Congress was already part of the alliance. Manithaneya Makkal Katchi and SDPI have also shown interest in joining the alliance. These parties are not just ‘órganisations’ but have vote banks and play important roles in the society, he said.
He added that these parties had decided to join DMK after having a “disgusting experience” with the AIADMK party.
Asked about the election commission, he feels that the EC is doing a satisfactory work and if any issues were highlighted by the DMK, it should be corrected.
