South Indian Artistes Association, also known as the Nadigar Sangam on Sunday conducted a special star cricket match for raising funds for the building and to repay Nadigar Sangam's loan of Rs 2.48cr.

After the cricket match, Nadigar Sangam is out of the financial debts. This was tweeted by Nadigar Sangam general secretary actor Vishal. He stated that they had paid back the loan of Nadigar Sangam and thanks to celeb cricket match that they conducted on Sunday. He also stated that they have got the land back, the trust account has 8 crores now and first time that the sangam is free from debts.

Vishal and team had won the elections and took charge in 2015, putting an end to nine-year-long tenure of R.Sarathkumar and his team. The newly-elected members of the SIFAA, President Nasser, General Secretary Vishal, Treasurer Karthi and others are keen on constructing the building as promised in their election manifesto and have been raising funds for the purpose through different means. 

As an initiative, the agreement with SPI cinemas was cancelled in February. The agreement was cancelled after paying a sum of 2 crore and 48 lakh to SPI Cinemas. Industrialist Mr. Isari Ganesan came forward and paid 2 crores from his end, which Nadigar sangam took as a loan from him.

After the cricket match, Nadigar Sangam is out of the financial debts.Actor Vishal who is the general secretary of the Nadigar Sangam reported this on his twitter handle. Vishal stated that they had paid back the loan of Nadigar Sangam and thanks to celeb cricket match they conducted on Sunday. He also stated that the land is back, the trust account has 8 crores now and first time that the sangam is free from debts.
