The News Minute | February 07, 2015 | 11.20 am IST Seventeen school students found themselves in a fix after being caught for mass bunking school to watch actor Ajith’s latest flick at Tirupur. Studying in classes 9 to 12 , the students were found by police officers wearing their school uniforms waiting at theatres ahead of the movie's release, reported Times of India. Getting a tip that instead of being in school, students were purchasing first day tickets at theatres, R Murugan the chief education officer, used the help of police to detain the students. Parents of the detained children were then summoned. Explaining that teachers were working overtime to ensure each student’s success at their upcoming exams, he suspended the students and gave them and their parents a sound warning, said the report.
