The News Minute | January 23, 2015 | 09.10 am ISTA notice has been issued to Perumal Murugan to respond to a petition seeking to include him as another petitioner in a case involving the peace meeting at Namakkal over his controversial book.The court was issuing orders on a PIL filed by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association which called for the decisions of the peace meeting to be called ‘null and void’, reported The Hindu.The court had earlier said that the author should be impleaded in order to hear his side of the story, said the report.Another petition has been filed by advocate T Lakapathi Roy from Madurai calling the decision of the peace meeting “crude” and “unauthorised”.The court said that the author could decide which petition he intended to prosecute, said the report.
