The News Minute | January 7, 2015 | 08.20 am ISTThe Madras High Court has directed the government to respond to a petition made by a Lingaa movie distributor for seeking permission to hold a fast protesting against the producers of the Rajinikanth movie.After a writ petition by R Singaravadivelan came up for hearing before Justice TS Sivagnanam, the judge directed the Special Government Pleader to obtain instructions on the same, reported The New Indian Express. The petitioner had said that collections were poor with theatre owners facing losses. As there was no response from Eros International and Vendhar Movies which they had asked help for, the petitioner and others have planned to hold a hunger strike in Chennai on January 10.
