The News Minute| March 14, 2015| 6.50 pm IST It seems former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram has won this round against the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee chief EVKS Elangovan. EVKS on Saturday dropped action against six loyalists of former Union Minister P. Chidambaram. In February, EVKS had expelled six Chidambaram loyalists from the party for blocking his car and shouting slogans. A miffed Chidambaram had then asked the AICC to intervene and added that, “A member cannot be expelled without seeking explanation, and holding an enquiry and sans taking the approval of the disciplinary panel.” EVKS announced on Saturday that action against the six was being dropped after they explained their part to the AICC.
