The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 examination results are out. The overall pass percentage of students across India has been 94 per cent.

About 10 lakh students had appeared in the exams this year. The topper of the CBSE examination this year is, Sukriti Gupta from MonFort School in Delhi with 497 out of 500. The second position has been taken by Palak Goyal from Tagore Public School in Haryana with 496 and third position is shared by two students, Somya Uppal from St Theresa’s Convent School in Haryana and Ajish Sekar from PSBB Senior Secondary School in Chennai with 495 marks.

The girls have outperformed the boys in the exams. The pass percentage of girls is 88.58 per cent and pass percentage of boys is 78.85 per cent.

The Mathematics question paper was said to be one of the toughest papers for students this year.

The CBSE exams had begun on March 1, 2016 and ended on April 22, 2016.
