Arjun Sarja is one of the finest actors and filmmakers who is active in several of the south Indian film industries. He has several films to his credit which speaks volumes about his experience. So, when his nephew Dhruva Sarja wanted his uncle’s opinion on his upcoming film Pogaru, the veteran did not think twice about hopping onboard to fine-tune the screenplay.
Apparently, Dhruva was not happy with the scripting of Pogaru, so he sought his maternal uncle Arjun’s help. Reports say that Arjun worked on the script and made some major changes which the team accepted without any hesitation. According to sources in the know, the Pogaru team had a couple of scripts handy but it was Arjun’s version that met with unanimous approval.
Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film features Shanvi Srivastava and Rashmika Mandanna as the women leads. Veteran actor Jagapathy Babu has been roped in to play the baddie in this flick. The technical crew of Pogaru comprises Arjun Janya to score the music and the camera will be handled by Vaidhi. The film is scheduled for release later this year.
Dhruva Sarja had earlier quashed rumours about Pogaru being delayed. Coming out with an explanation about the delay, the actor had said that he had to shed 30 kilos of weight for the first schedule. The star explained that it was not easy to shed and gain weight in a jiffy as he had to put in a lot of effort and it would take some time. The makers of Pogaru were well aware of this and waited for Dhruva to get back to his normal shape. It may be mentioned here that Dhruva Sarja will be appearing in a schoolboy get-up in the film and he had to shed weight to look like a school going kid.
