The music launch of the upcoming Malayalam film Ambili happened at a shopping mall in Kochi recently and was well attended. With two songs from the album, “Aaradhike” and “Njan Jackson Allada”, turning out to be chartbusters, the audio launch turned lively with a live music show. The song “Njan Jackson Allada” was rendered on stage by singer Antony Dasan. Singers Sooraj Santhosh and Benny Dayal also performed live at the occasion.

Those present at the launch were Nazriya Nazeem, Kunchacko Boban, Anna Ben, Nikhila Vimal and Dileesh Pothen.

Ambili will mark the acting debut of Naveen Nazim, brother of Nazriya Nazeen. The film also has Soubin Shahir in an important role with Tanvi Ram making her acting debut. John Paul George of Guppy fame is the director of the film.

The film is a road drama and will have Naveen playing an adventure junkie in it. Sharan Velayudhan is cranking the camera for this movie with Vishnu Vijay wielding the music baton and Kiran Das handling the edits. Vineesh is taking care of the art department with Mahar Hamsa in charge of the costume designing and RG Wayanad as the makeup man. Mukesh R Mehta, AV Anoop and CV Sarathy are jointly producing Ambili under the banner E4 Entertainment. The film is releasing on August 9.

The teaser of the film, released recently, showed an adorable Soubin dancing happily to the song “Njan Jackson allada.” The teaser begins with one of the men in a village crowd assuring everyone that there is nothing Ambili (played by Soubin) cannot do. He then asks everybody to clap their hands as Ambili, smiling shyly and walking to the front, is cheered by the crowd. It takes only the blink of an eye for Ambili to turn into an insanely fun dancer.

John Paul George’s debut film Guppy had Chethan Jayalal and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles, with Sreenivasan, Rohini, Sudheer Karamana, Dileesh Pothan, and Alencier Ley Lopez in supporting roles.
