When the police base camp near Warangal had a furry visitor

Written by : TNM

The police base camp in Mamnoor in Warangal were paid a visit on the early hours of April 10 by a black bear which wandered into the area."The bear which was found walking around in the base camp at around 3:30 am had entered into the area from a nearby forest, probably lost," the police confirmed. The bear was first noticed by a passer by, who immediately raised an alert.  The area is surrounded by forests and is no stranger to visits by wild animals, so the authorities were notified soon and after roughly half an hour of attempts, the bear was finally tranquilized and netted by Dr Praveen Kumar at around 4:30 am. The bear was later checked to ensure that the effects of the tranquilizer wore off before it was released into the forest.
