Telangana plans 600 crore rupees land resurvey

The News Minute | June 30, 2014 | 3:13 PM IST The government of Telengana is planning to undertake a resurvey of the of the land in the state by investing as much as Rs 600 crore! The last and survey took place more than eight decades ago. But the state has sought financial assistance from the Centre.The last survey was done by the Nizam government in 1938. lately, with the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's hell bent decision to  firm on taking back encroached government lands the revenue department has initiated to kickstart a resurvey. The government says that with no proper land records, the TRS government cannot reclaim its lands. Also, the issue of lands being registered under multiple names illegally is also an issue. Deputy Chief Minister of Telenagan urged Nitin Gadkari, to allot Rs 600 crore to the state to take up the resurvey.
