Telangana govt's Navratri gift, T cases against many withdrawn

The News Minute| October 2, 2014| 9.00 am ISTThe agitation for Telangana had seen people from all walks of life participating in protests, dharnas and demonstrations over a prolonged period of time. As a result, cases had been filed by police against many people. The Kiran Kumar Reddy government had withdrawn over 1200 cases during their tenure. As a Navratri gift, the Telangana government has decided to withdraw cases against 690 people. The Times of India reports that home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy has signed orders for withdrawing cases.There are some cases still pending against people for destroying and causing damage to central government property.
