Power crisis: Telengana to alert the Centre on the issue

AP'While AP’s move is to to scrap the PPAs with discoms, wit can cut off the power to Telengana. It looks like the Telangana Government has decided to bring the matter to the notice of the Centre. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has given the task to Principal Secretary (Energy), Suresh Chandra. Chandra will go to New Delhi to discuss the matter with Central Government officials.He also discussed the issues with Union Power Secretary and NTPC. Telengana is also thinking of purchasing power from available sources.AP meanwhile is trying legal advice to make sure that they will be able to cancel PPAs sails through. Chandrababu Naidu says that once the shortage in AP is dealt with, they will give additional power to Telangana. The AP Government says that its move is justified as post bifurcation, the state is going through severe power crisis.
