A woman was booked by the Hyderabad police on Thursday after she allegedly branded her son's genitals with a hot ladle.

According to reports, the accused Anusha, (33), is an activist, who had married one Murali Krishna in 2005, and had two sons with him.

Five months ago, the couple had a fall out.

Anusha then applied for a divorce, and moved to Bachupally with her two children, where she had been living with a financier, according to the police.

The younger son reportedly did not want to live with his mother, and asked her to let him go back to his father.

The police stated that the woman would beat her son, and make him do household chores.

Jeedimetla SI Lingya Naik told the Deccan Chronicle that the mother would “beat him frequently and also branded him on his genitals with a hot iron rod and injured him. They did not harm the elder son as he obeyed her.”

The DC report also suggests that Anusha made her younger son drink the other man's urine from a bottle.

Following this, the boy took some money from the house, and ran away to meet his father.

After he recounted everything, his father filed a police complaint.

The police registered a case against under sections that deal with 'causing hurt' and sections of the Juvenile Justice Act.
