BJP MLA Raja Singh is at it again.

After his controversial speeches and marches, this time, the Hindutva-fanatic leader has shot off a letter to a Hyderabad cinema complex asking that Karan Johar’s latest Ae Dil Hai Mushkil not be allowed to run because it features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan as the ‘side hero’.

In his letter, he said that the movie was “anti-India”. The movie has been facing heat in several other parts of the country for having a Pakistani artist in the aftermath of the Uri terror attack that killed 19 Indian soldiers.

Here is his full letter.

Raja Singh is no stranger to controversy. Earlier, he released a video on Facebook in July, calling the assault on Dalits in Una a 'good deed'.

The video went viral on social media, in which Singh claimed that such ‘dirty Dalits’ were ruining the good name of 'patriotic, religious and cow-worshiping' Dalits.

Following the incident, the BJP issued a statement that the party “explicitly makes it clear that it does not endorse such views”.

Raja Singh also faces multiple charges of hate speech against him and is known for his inflammatory statements and speeches, particularly against the Muslim community.

Though Karan Johar’s movie is expected to release on October 28, it was reported that theatre owners in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa may not screen the film.
