A 25-year-old trainee Sub-Inspector was found hanging at the CRPF Central Training College campus in Kurudampalayam in Coimbatore.

According to a suicide note he had left behind, Sandeep was worried about his failing health and physical abilities, which he felt would not let him complete his training.

Sandeep’s death came to light on Tuesday morning, when he did not turn up for the training session. His colleagues began searching for him, and found his body hanging from a tree near one of the kitchens in the campus.

Sandeep hailed from Haryana and had come to Coimbatore for his Sub-Inspector training, which was supposed to be completed by September 26, 2017.

In his suicide note, Sandeep wrote, “My physical efficiency has gone down. I’m not even able to run properly, I’m also not able to remember anything. When I try to write the test I’m not even able to remember two words. I cannot do anything now, this is the only solution. My eyesight has also reduced. There is no pressure from the family regarding my job but I won’t be able to do anything in life.”

Sandeep’s body was shifted to Coimbatore government hospital for post-mortem.

A case was filed at Thudiyalur police station in Coimbatore and investigation is in process.
