The News Minute | December 30, 2014 | 12:25 pm ISTAn incident of molestation by two men on another man has highlighted the absence of any provision in the Indian Penal Code against molestation of men. When Ponraj, a web designer approached to black magicians Khader Basha and Shoukath Ali, he hoped they would remove all the evil spirits causing him losses both professionally and personally, reported The New Indian Express. Seeing their advertisement online, he agreed to pay them Rs. 20,000 for a special pooja, said a cop according to the report. However, when the duo asked for a young unmarried girl to participate nude in the pooja, both Ponraj and Radhakrishnan ,at whose house the pooja was to be conducted, protested. When they said the only alternative was the presence of a unmarried, nude man in the pooja, Ponraj agreed. However, things took a different turn when the two men began touching Ponraj provocatively when he appeared with a towel around his waist, said the report. However, this became a strange case for police as there is no provisons in the statute to book a man who has molested another man. A case of criminal intimidation has been booked against the duo, said officers according to the report. Tweet
