Stalin calls Tamil Nadu's Republic Day parade a lesson in sycophancy

The News Minute | January 26, 2015 | 05.20 pm ISTDMK treasurer MK Stalin trashed the Tamil Nadu Republic Day celebrations held in Chennai calling it a ‘shame and indignity to its people’ over the representation of convicted AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa during the ceremony. The Tamil Nadu Republic Day celebrations at Marina beach in Chennai had showcased 24 different floats representing different departments in the state each carrying images of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.Each of the floats had images of Jayalalithaa while some had cutouts representing her. 
Stalin in his Facebook post called the Tamil Nadu government to apologise to the people for the representation of a ‘convicted person in an utterly distasteful display of sycophancy’ during the Republic Day celebrations. Post by M. K. Stalin.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
