DMK MP and daughter of party chief Karunanidhi, Kanimozhi on Friday alleged that the AIADMK manifesto was a copy of the DMK manifesto, Thanthi TV reported.

Addressing reporters at Tuticorin airport, Kanimozhi claimed that AIADMK’s promise of providing scooters for women at subsidized rates is going to heavily impact the state treasury.

“I thought Jayalalithaa was taking her time to write the manifesto. Only yesterday did I understand that she simply photocopied the DMK manifesto. The only new scheme she has announced is the subsidized scooters for women. I believe that alone is going to cost the treasury around fifty thousand crores,” said Kanimozhi, adding that she was sceptical about the feasibility of the scheme.
