MDMK chief Vaiko accuses Karunanidhi of inaction on Mullaiperiyar issue

Written by : TNM Staff

Addressing a rally on Tuesday at Ullundurpet two weeks ahead of the state assembly polls, MDMK chief Vaiko accused DMK honcho Karunanidhi’s inaction on the Mullaiperiyar issue. He further accused the previous DMK regime of having already signed the GAIL and methane schemes, according to Thanthi TV.

“I can write a book on the betrayal done by Karunanidhi on the Mullaiperiyar issue. He has outrightly betrayed the people in exchange for the support of the central government. No other chief minister would have done such a thing,” he said.

In a bid to garner support from the farmer community, he promised the cancellation of all farmer loans if the PWF alliance comes to power.
