Man given double life term for murdering wife and son

The News Minute | September 12, 2014 | 11:50 am ISTA man in Chennai has been given a double life term as punishment for burning his wife and son to death. Meena Satheesh, Judge of the Chennai Mahila Court on Wednesday, convicted J Ashokraj and sentenced him to a double term for murdering his wife, aged 41 and son aged 22 when they were asleep in their house on May 3, 2011, said The New Indian Express. Ashokraj and his wife had divided the insurance money received after the death of their elder child at sea, said the report. However, Ashokraj angry that he wasn't allowed to use his passbook, poured kerosene on his wife and younger son.
