Madras HC hands over missing producer Madhan case to senior police officer

The Madras High Court has handed over the case of missing film producer of Vendhar Movies Madhan to an additional deputy commissioner for investigation. The probe also includes the cheating cases filed against him by the parents of aspiring medical students, reported by The Times of India.

Madhan, in the last letter said to be written by him, had stated that he is going to Varanasi where he will drown himself. His mother had filed a habeas corpus petition in the high court, both the cases will be investigated by central crime branch (CCB). Madras High Court has given Additional deputy commissioner S Radhakrishnan time till June 23 to file a status report.

Madhan went missing on May 27, he had stated in his letter that all the money collected by him could be retained from the SRM group. After which, his wives Sumalatha, Sindhu and mother Thangam had given written complaints to the police commissioner. Meanwhile, parents of aspiring medical students who had allegedly paid money to Madhan also began filing complaints of cheating against him.

His mother Thangam had claimed that his son might have been kidnapped due to the monetary issues involved in his business, reported by Times of India.
