Jayalalithaa to meet PM Modi in daylong Delhi visit

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is on a daylong visit to New Delhi, where she will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The newly-elected Chief Minister will present a 32-page wish-list to Modi. Some of the issues likely to be discussed include constituting the Cauvery Management Board and the Cauvery River Regulatory Authority, the arrest of Tamil Nadu’s fishermen by Sri Lanka and the release of the seven convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, reported The Hindu. Jayalalithaa had presented a similar memorandum to the Prime Minister in 2014, shortly after Modi assumed office.

2:00 pm: Jayalalithaa arrives in New Delhi by a specially chartered flight

2:30 pm: TN CM arrives at Tamil Nadu House

4:00 pm: Starts from Tamil Nadu House to 7 Race Course Road

4:30 pm: Jayalalithaa meets PM Modi. Expected to be an hour-long meeting where she will present the 32-page memorandum

7:00 pm: Jayalalithaa departs from New Delhi

9:00 pm: Jayalalithaa arrives in Chennai
