In response to actor Simbu’s anticipatory bail plea, the Madras High Court on Monday asked the actor to appear at the magistrate court in Coimbatore on January 11 and request bail.

The Madras High Court has asked the magistrate court to give its final decision on January 11 itself.

“The petitioner is directed to approach the appropriate court to seek regular bail. If any such application is filed by the petitioner the magistrate concerned shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on the same day in accordance with the Supreme Court rulings,” said Justice B Rajendran, according to TOI.

The ‘beep song’ went viral on social networking sites on December 12, 2015. Later, a police complaint was filed at the Coimbatore police station by All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA). The Coimbatore police issued summon against Simbu. He moved to Madras High Court to get stay order but was denied. The Coimbatore police again issued summon to appear at the station on January 2, 2016.

Actor Simbu applied for anticipatory bail in Madras High Court on December 21,2015. The case was adjourned for January 4,2016.
