5 more infant deaths in Dharmapuri, death toll rises to eleven

The News Minute | November 18, 2014 | 08:35 ISTFive more infants have died at the Government Dharmpuri Medical College Hospital on Monday taking the total toll to eleven.The last two days has taken the death toll to 11 new born babies which includes seven girls, which died at at Dharmpuri despite neo-natal care, reported The Hindu. Of the five infants that died on Monday, three were male. Doctors at the hospital continue to make efforts to save babies with one-third o fthe total 86 being pre-term babies, said the report.
