2 AIADMK men held for temple tower fire

The News Minute | October 9, 2014 | 08:50 am ISTTwo AIADMK volunteers have been arrested after the thatched cover around the Rajagopuram cover of the Kalayarkoil temple in Sivaganga caught fire from firecrackers.The incident occurred when the AIADMK workers wrongly celebrated prematurely with firecrackers the granting of bail for party leader J Jayalalithaa, said The Hindu.The AIADMK party has even offered to repair the structure, however locals, volunteers of the Hindu Munnani and the BJP observed a fast near the temple calling for action against those responsible. After the incident, bursting firecrackers in the vicinity of the temple was banned, said the report.
