17-year-old beheaded in Puducherry, his severed head thrown into a TN police station

In a gruesome crime, a severed head was thrown into the Reddichavady police station in Cuddalore district.

CCTV visuals from the police station show two men riding a motorcycle stopping in front of the Reddichavadi police station in Cuddalore, throwing the severed head and then riding away.  The incident took place at around 8pm on Wednesday.

Police say that a 17-year-old was allegedly beheaded by three men in neighbouring Puducherry on Wednesday. The main accused Vinod has been arrested from Puducherry in the case.

Puducherry police say that the victim identified as Swethan was allegedly murdered by his friends. Officials also say that he was murdered as the friends had problem with Swethan. The main accused in the case is Vinod Kumar and police is searching for other two accused in the case, Panjamathi and Suziraj.

While the case is still being investigated, the Puducherry police say that Swethan was murdered in Bahour, with his torso found in the taluk.  A post-mortem will be carried out in the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute.
