Written by : TNM Staff

“Exams are over, and if I may say so, the damn school is over”. When Shah Rukh Khan started off with these lines while giving a graduation speech at Dhirubhai Ambani School in Mumbai, the students and parents alike, burst into laughter.

Though he started off by saying that the last thing the students would want is to listen to somebody give ‘life lessons’, the actor went on to do just that.

The 20-minute long oration was peppered with the right amount of humour in the actor’s inimitable style.

He spoke about the need to feel free and to learn to laugh at one’s own mistakes and declared it to be the talisman for survival.

Tonight is about parents”, he said, and went on to narrate instances from his own personal life, majority of which, were centered on his father.
