During the Kerala floods in August 2018, parts of the country as well as the UAE came together to send supplies and relief to the flood-affected areas in the state – an act greatly aided the rehabilitation efforts by the government. This year, the situation is equally dire – over 2.6 lakh people in Kerala are in relief camps and 2 lakh people in Karnataka have been evacuated and are left with nothing, with the floods and landslides destroying their homes and property.
This year too, several collection centrees have been set up to send relief and aid material to flood-hit Kerala and Karnataka, collecting non-perishables, clothes, medicines, first-aid kits and drinking water. Here is a list:
