For all those men who like to have their 'space', the days of freedom may soon come to an end if New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority implements its campaign against 'manspreading.' Yes, that's right, manspreading - the act of spreading the legs wide - sort of in V shape, while sitting in a subway car by occupying space more than required for oneself.

The authority, according to an NDTV report, is all set to showcase ads in the form of posters that 'encourage men to share a little less of themselves in the city's ever-crowded subways cars.'

Kelley Rae O'Donnell, an actress who rides the subway often confronts 'manspreaders' and tweets photos of them sitting like that. Her struggle to change things on her own has now received support in the form of  the transportation authority.

Commenting on such men, she said. "It drives me crazy. I find myself glaring at them because it just seems so inconsiderate in this really crowded city."

The ad aims 'at curbing rude behavior like manspreading and wearing large backpacks on crowded trains' and will go by the slogan, "Courtesy Counts: Manners Make a Better Ride."
