Students in Kerala school made to wait for more than an hour in scorching sun

The News Minute | August 27, 2014 | 01:07 pm ISTThe tradition of school children waiting endlessly to welcome a politician, movie star or any other celebrity coming to attend a function still continues unabated. Asianet News reported how students of the Kannoor Edattu PES School had to wait for hours under the scorching sun for the Home Minister of Kerala to make an appearance.The minister, also the chief guest at the event, was supposed to come at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, but did not arrive till past 4:00 pm. Around 3 o' clock, some one made an announcement saying that Home Minister was en route and made the children form lines in order to welcome him when he reached. Although Kerala government has issued orders saying children should not be made to wait for guests or dignitaries visiting their schools, the students of Kannoor Edattu PES school had to spent more that an hour waiting for the Home Minister. Here is Asianet's report:
