No talks on cabinet reshuffle held yet, says Kerala Chief Minister

The News Minute | July 14, 2014 | 11:06 AM IST Oommen Chandy, the Kerala Chief Minister on Sunday brushed off speculations that talks were on regarding the state cabinet reshuffle. He stressed that no discussion on the matter has been held within the United Democratic Front, the ruling coalition. The vernacular media has been filled with speculations, some suggesting that a list of Congress nominees will now have to be prepared as speaker G Karthikeyan is now all set to join the ministry with an important portfolio soon. Another ally, the Kerala Congress (B) also has a politician contesting to get into the cabinet - K.B. Ganesh Kumar. Ganesh was forced to resign, a year ago after his marital issues became the talk of the state following his wife’s allegation that the she was a victim of domestic abuse. Kerala state Congress chief V.M.Sudheeran also said on Sunday that no talks regarding reshuffle has taken place yet.
