Man who murdered RSS member Manoj Kumar surrenders, says CPM has no role

The News Minute | September 12, 2014 | 03:29 pm ISTVikraman, the man who murdered RSS member Manoj Kumar of Kannur on September 1, surrendered before the police yesterday. Manoj Kumar had killed his friend Diamondumukku Surendran and it was to avenge his friend’s killing that he killed Manoj Kumar, Vikraman told the investigating agencies, reported the Malayalam daily Malayala Manorama. He also told the investigation team that the CPM had nothing to do with his killing Manoj Kumar. Vikraman has been remanded to police custody till September 25.VIkraman surrendered at a time when a look out notice was issued against him by the Crime Branch and when there were discussions to transfer the investigation from the Crime Branch of the state to the CBI.
