Months after the genitals of a self-styled godman Swami Gangeshananda from Kerala was chopped off, a similar case is now being reported from Malappuram district.

On Tuesday, a youth named Irshad was admitted to a hospital in Kozhikode, after his genitals were chopped off.

Confirming the incident to TNM, Kuttipuram police said that Irshad was staying in a lodge in Kuttipuram in Malappuram district, when the incident occurred.

Kuttippuram Sub-Inspector told TNM: "He is undergoing treatment at MIMS hospital as of now. He was staying in this lodge with a woman. We have taken her into custody for questioning."
