Written by : TNM Staff

The Aluva police on Thursday arrested a clerk working in court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class for allegedly raping a fellow employee on multiple occasions.

The police arrested Martin (46), a clerk and a native of Kaladi, after the woman filed a complaint three days ago.

“The woman would go to court in the morning by 9.30, even before the other employees would reach. It was then that the accused raped her in several instances,” Aluva DySP said. The accused would be produced in court on Thursday, he said.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that Martin raped her several times in the past two months. She told her husband, after which he filed a complaint with the police. The woman is undergoing counselling for mental trauma.

Since the accused is an employee of the Aluva court, the case will be transferred to Angamaly judicial first class magistrate court.

A case has been filed against the accused under Section 354 and 376 of IPC.
