Written by : TNM

The News Minute| June 6, 2014| 4.45 pm ISTThe Aam Aadmi party wing in Kochi organised a fast protesting against amendments to the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act, 2008. Writer and activist M N Karassery and former CNN journalist Anita Pratap- both AAP leaders were the main speakers at the event which was organised in front of Ernakulam collectorate. The two spoke about the need for environment protection and once they finished speaking, they were given buttermilk packets. Karassery gulped down his with great gusto while Anita Pratap who saw the prying eyes of the camera, decided to stuff the packet behind her seat. Karassery and the organisers seem to have forgotten that it was a fast.Though it was supposed to be a full day fast, the two guests left by afternoon. What a 'fast' fast.
