21-year-old Kerala girl allegedly raped, held captive in Delhi

The News Minute | November 5, 2014 | 11.50 am ISTA twenty-one-year-old girl from Kerala was allegedly raped and held captive since last one month by her male acquaintance in Delhi. The victim was rescued from a house in Vasant Kunj by police on Wednesday, following a complaint by her mother. The accused who hails from Bhopal was pursuing his MBA in Delhi and had brought the girl from Kerala to Delhi after promising her a good job ."Once the girl reached Delhi, he allegedly raped her and captured the act on his mobile phone and blackmailed her into keeping quiet. He also restricted the girl from going anywhere," said a police official, according to a Malayala Manorama report.Later when the accused had gone to his native place the girl managed to contact her mother.When a police team reached the spot on Thursday evening, they found the flat locked from the outside. The girl was rescued after the locks were broken, says the report.
