Woman spits on auto rickshaw driver's face in Bengaluru

The News Minute | October 21, 2014 | 9.40 am ISTA woman has reportedly assaulted and spat on the face of an auto rickshaw driver in Bengaluru. A complaint has been filed by the Jai Bhuvaneshwari Auto Drivers Association against the woman, the Deccan Chronicle reported. Saritha, punched and spat on the face of Prashanth, the auto rickshaw driver, after he abused Saritha’s car driver for having overtaken his rickshaw from the left hand side.The incident took place on the Venkatapura Main Road in Kormangala at around 7.30 pm on Saturday. The woman alleged that Prashanth did not make way despite honking by her car driver and, therefore, her car had to overtake from the wrong side.Saritha has also filed a complaint against the rickshaw drivers for harassing her.Both were called to the police station and it is said that even there, in front of the DCP and other senior officials, Saritha abused the auto driver and his colleagues and called them “bloody locals.”
