Upalokayukta Subhash B Adi on Tuesday ordered a detailed investigation into reports by Lokayukta (City) SP Sonia Narang that a bribery demand of Rs. 1 crore was sought inside the Lokayukta office. The Upalokayukta has directed Narang to conduct a free and fair investigation and submit the report on July 6. 2. More trouble is brewing for suspended IPS officer Alok Kumar after the brother of a 20-year-old deceased complained to the Lokayukta on June 18 stating that two police officials are involved in the "fake" encounter of his brother when Alok Kumar was the Joint Commissioner (crime) in 2010. 3. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the State is likely to move the Supreme Court once again on the BBMP polls citing de-limitation of wards on the basis of 2011 census even as the ruling Congress says it is ready to face the elections.  4. Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) apologised to the Karnataka government a day after a Malaysian publication carried a "distorted" map of India and had evoked a strong response from the BJP.  5.
