A Sub-Inspector of a police station in a town about 30km away from Bengaluru has accused DK Suresh of tarnishing his reputation and has written to Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police, seeking action. Suresh is Bengaluru Rural MP and brother of Energy Minister DK Shivakumar.

Suvarna News reported that Attibele Sub-Inspector Srinivas has written to SP Amit Singh, seeking action against Suresh.

The letter, a copy of which has been uploaded online, says that Srinivas had attended a meeting called by the MP at his house on Thursday. Several officers of his rank and higher were present at the meeting held at Suresh’s house in the Sadashivnagar area of the town.

Suresh spoke to the officers for about 20 minutes after which he asked Srinivas which police station he was posted in. when he replied that it was Attibele, Suresh reportedly said: “You are from Attibele station? Don’t you extort money every day?”

Srinivas said in the letter that although he said that the MP had the wrong impression of him Suresh continued to insult him in public. He then urged the SP to take suitable action against the MP, for causing him pain, calling him an extortionist.

Despite repeated attempts, Suresh, Srinivas nor Amit Singh could be reached.
