Siddaramaiah denies wearing footwear while offering Dasara puja

The News Minute | October 5, 2014 | 3.31 pm IST Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday issued a clarification, saying that he had not been wearing footwear while offering puja during the closing ceremony of the Mysore Dasara celebrations.According to a report in The Hindu, Siddaramaiah said in a press release that media reports about him wearing footwear were false, adding: “I have lot of reverence for goddess Chamundeshwari.”On Saturday, several media reported that Siddaramaiah had not taken off his footwear while offering flowers to the goddess.Read: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah offers flowers to goddess without taking off his footwear
