Central Investigation Department (CID) filed a charge-sheet against former BJP MLA Araga Jnanendra and 46 for allegedly “igniting communal violence and disrupting social harmony” after the death of Nandita Krishnamurthy, reported Times of India. The charge-sheet was filed at a JFMC court in Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district. “The charge-sheet has been submitted and the court will summon the accused. We have explained how the accused took advantage of the situation and sparked violence in the small town," a source was quoted as saying by the paper.   Nandita who reportedly feared her parents’ wrath for being seen with a boy, told her parents that she had been abducted. Following her demise last October, several theories had emerged surrounding her death. Immense political pressure led to the state government handing over the case to CID. However, preliminary investigations revealed that she had consumed poison after returning home and succumbed two days later.
