The News Minute | October 6, 2014 | 1.14 pm ISTJanata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy and his once close aide B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan continued their feud of letters on Monday. The two leaders’ latest argument through the media is on Kumaraswamy’s non-appearance at the Eid mass prayers in Eidgah Maidan in Chamarajpet on Monday. Speaking to the media, Ahmed said that he had written a letter to Kumaraswamy inviting him to come for the prayers. “He thinks I don’t understand Kannada, so I wrote a letter to him in Urdu. He doesn’t understand Urdu, maybe that is why he didn’t turn up,” Ahmed said. Some weeks ago, while JD (S) MLAs and leaders were up in arms against the party chief H D Deve Gowda and his sons Kumaraswamy and H D Revanna, the pair had exchanged the first round of letter-fire.During a meeting called to discuss party reforms, Ahmed did not turn up. Kumaraswamy had said that he had written two letters to Ahmed, and accused the latter of being unable to understand Kannada.Kumaraswamy had told reporters: “I have written letters to everybody, and I have sent two letters to those (Zameer Ahmed) who are saying they haven’t received the letter. But I made a mistake, I sent the letters in Kannada, I should have sent it in Urdu.”Read: The Janata Dal (Secular) has earned itself the nickname, party of the "father-and-sons"
